  • We wanted to challenge the stereotypical association with rock climbing, one that too often depends on male performance and the feat of accomplishment as an awe-inspiring spectacle, by instead focussing our perspective through a female gaze.

    Elementary embraces a grounded approach, utilising her internal dialogue as a way to map her own climbing process; from the initial preparation to the summit — showing the various processes that the body and mind must engage with in order to plan and complete a successful rock climb.
